Carrot win Digital Broker of the Year at the Insurance Age UK Broker Awards 2020
Carrot Insurance have beaten off competition from major insurance firms across the UK to win the Insurance Age UK Digital Broker of the Year Award.
Carrot (part of UK-based global telematics leader Trak Global Group) insure tens of thousands of young novice drivers with black box technology, and also uses smartphone apps to help more experienced young drivers save money on their car insurance premiums.
The success in winning the award, which is decided by a panel of senior figures from the insurance sector, reflects the continuing and market-leading innovation in the insurance field and the commitment to championing road safety and the interests of young drivers.
Earlier this week, Carrot called publicly on the House of Commons Transport Committee to champion technology as a proven means of reducing the risk of young drivers being involved in a road traffic accident, as evidence showed that telematics insurance reduces young driver accidents by over 40%.
Norrie Erwin, Managing Director, Carrot Insurance said: “This award focused on our introduction of LiveChat and how our digital-only approach transformed the communication response time between policyholder and agent as well as the overall feedback for Carrot Insurance on our review sites. We are so honoured and humbled to have achieved this fantastic award. It truly shows how our hard work and determination has paid off and I’d like to thank Insurance Age for recognising our efforts and the whole team at Carrot for making it happen.”
The UK Broker Awards, run by leading sector trade publication Insurance Age, were announced at 12noon today (Friday 11th September 2020) via a virtual online ceremony.
