Around one month before your policy ends, our renewals team will contact you by phone and email with your renewal options. If you qualify for a safe-driving discount, this will be reflected in your renewal price.
In 2025, more than a quarter of our young drivers have been offered a 15% discount on their renewal price based on their driving.
You may also build up a year of No Claims Discount if no claims affecting your NCD have been made against your policy, which may help reduce your renewal price further.
What happens if I renew?
If you decide to stay with Carrot, we’ll check that your details are up to date. Let us know about any changes you’d like to make, such as:
- Changing your vehicle
- Choosing a different level of cover
- Updating your personal or driving details
What if I don’t renew?
If you choose to leave, we’ll email your proof of No Claims Bonus, where eligible, within a few days of your policy ending.
After your cover ends, ThingCo, your black box provider, will send you a prepaid returns package. Simply place the black box inside and post it back using the instructions provided.
Returning the device means the equipment can be reused or recycled, helping to reduce electronic waste.
